The go-to daily board

Love this board. Used it on small and bigger days all summer. The pin tail, rails, and slightly narrower boardshape are forgiving and worked well for tighter turns compared to your standard foamie like a wavestorm. Rugged materials so I don't have to worry about dings or scratches from the pavement or transporting in the car. My one complaint is that the holes for the fin attachment were not all completely straight through the board and the plastic screw caps are really sharp around the edges. I ended up rounding the bottom of the screw caps so they didn't dig into the top sheet. I also filed the inside of the fin holes on the board with a screwdriver to allow the fin screws to mount more flush.

Perfect first board!

I love this board. I only started surfing 2 - 3 months ago, so am still a beginner. I learnt on my friends 9ft Fiberglass board and then did a few sessions on a wavestorm. But this was the board I decided to buy for myself and have no regrets. Initially I was concerned about the single fin and being able to balance, but it wasn’t an issue and makes the board much faster. The beauty of it though, is how much better it is at maneuvering in the waves. The few times I’ve taken it out, I’ve found my technique quickly improve. Plus, it looks great. All in all I couldn’t be happier !

Sweet ride

Fun. Fun. Fun. And nice not having to worry about dings and dents as you have that fun. I’m surfing again after 10 years of no surf and what a great board to get back into the waves. Now I’m stoked, surfing more than I did in my 20s and looking forward to pushing my kids into their first waves on this sweet ride.

fun board for the great lakes

I just purchased this board for surfing Lake Michigan, the extra buoyancy of the foam helps in the fresh water. My first session with the R-series Joy was on a waste high day of mostly mushy waves, the board paddled well and caught waves with ease. Super fun. One note, it is heavier than I expected, but none the less I am happy with the purchase.

She floats!

This board is gonna make me look a lot better than I am. Insane float but also so controllable. Doesn't have the clunky feel you get w a softtop or the vulnerability of a smaller board - I may never want another board!
